The Emma Lee Project

Emma Lee

Has an original and touching voice which she layers over her simple, fingerpicking guitar style.  Her lyrics are provocative and beautiful.  Her two albums are only a selection of the hundreds of original songs she has written and continues to write.  Every live show will feature at least one brand new song.  Emma Lee tries to describe the human experience in such a way that it resonates with anyone who has felt something similar, while telling a deeply personal story about one person's experience in this world.

From her favorite coffee shop solo gigs to full band performances Emma Lee's original songs allow the listener to dream awake.

The Players on Waiting For Javi

Emma Lee writes provocative and touching lyrics that she sings soulfully over her fingerpicking guitar style.  She creates music in a variety of styles, ranging from slow and sensual to foot tapping fun.  She writes lyrics that draw from influences of poets, Neruda, Cummings and Eliot are all there.  Her guitar accompanies the words with an eclectic simplicity.  Her voice has a warmth that makes you want to hear more.

Javier Jimenez is a classically trained as well as street trained guitar master from Spain.  With a style that embodies the strength, passion and heart of his homeland, he makes every song he plays on beautiful.  His amazing ability shines with a savage beauty that is impossible to ignore.  His talents are showcased in the variety of styles the Project plays.

Adam Roach is featured on the soon to be released LP playing both lap steel and electric guitar.  Adam is basically a god, having played in any incarnation of the music business that you could want, he went to Spain and gathered not only a new approach to playing, singing and writing songs, he also brought us Javier.  Adam is in several bands, including Beso Negro, The Jonny Keigwin Band and Hustler.

Cheyenne Young has had a bass in his hand since he was nine years old.  He spend his early life on stage, playing his heart out.  When his son was born, he put music aside for several years.  He returned with the simplest form of his instrument of choice, the washtub bass.  He's recently added the electric stand-up to his arsenal, and his signature bass lines are the soul of the Emma Lee Project's sound.  He is a driving force in the music.

RT Goodrich is a drummer with passion and rhythm.  His tasty percussion parts on the cajon keep the toes tapping to the beat.  His huge smile on stage speak volumes as to just how much fun he's having keeping the beat.  You can't not tap your foot with him.  The Emma Lee Project showcases his talent for jazz, pop and country beats.

Dave Polo is just plain amazing.  He is featured on the new LP playing ukulele and singing with Emma on the song "Allways Me".  His band, SAGE, has just released and amazing LP available on iTunes right now.
